FiT Work #5- Childhood Obesity

Did you know that over the past 30 years, childhood obesity has more than tripled in children your age?  In 2010, more than one third of children across the United States were either considered overweight or obese.  Clinical studies have proven that children who are obese are more likely to be obese as adults.  In 2012, the total cost to treat medical issues related to obesity in the United states was $176 billion!  Want to do something to change this trend?  Click here to find out how!

Next Steps

Hello Students and Parents- During this period of distance learning, your physical education classes will be conducted online, just as your other classes. Our classes will follow the format below. Each day a workout video will be posted to our Google Classroom. You are expected to access and complete this workout daily. After the workout, you will need to complete your daily learning log, where you will reflect on the workout and provide evidence that you did the workout. FiT Works will be posted and required as homework as normal. The first will be assigned Monday, March 23 and will be due Friday, March 27th.  I will be checking each day at 3pm that you have accessed the day’s workout and completed your learning log.
