You Are What You Eat

I'm sure you've heard it before- You are what you eat!  But do you know if what your eating is healthy?  Is it enough or too much of our daily nutrient needs?  The best way to answer this is too keep a food log- you would be surprised at what you eat if you actually kept track!


In order to complete this FiT Work assignment, you must keep track of everything you eat and drink for an entire day.  Keep a notebook with you or keep track in your phone, but you must take notes.

Once you have a record of your food and drink consumption for the day, visit THIS website (or this one for Indian food) to enter in your choices and see how many calories you have consumed.   Follow these steps:
  1. Starting with breakfast, search by ingredients or by dish for the food and drink that you consumed.  
  2. Click on the food or drink and enter the serving size (guess if you have to).  
  3. Continue this process for all food and drinks in your food log.

You may want to click on your Homework Questions while you are entering your food in order to answer all of your questions correctly.
